Hulse Hill Farm Tour Experience
Your visit begins with a relaxed walking tour of Hulse Hill Farm, located in the historic Leatherstocking region on 12 bucolic acres just one mile from the Village of Cooperstown, New York. As we stroll the property, you will meet some of our smaller farm friends, including chickens, rabbits, our beloved rescued pot belly pig Bella, and our ever present barn cats who are always ready to greet visitors.
Along the way, we share the story of how this homestead came to be and how it has grown into a working farm rooted in both tradition and creativity.
Cashmere Goat 101
Next, we introduce you to the stars of the pasture, our cashmere goats. These soft and fluffy animals are often called the unicorns of the fiber world, and once you meet them, you will understand why.
You will learn how cashmere fiber is grown and harvested, what makes it so special, and how it is transformed into beautiful finished products. We will talk about responsible herd management, seasonal rhythms on the farm, and how each goat plays a role in the larger fiber story.
Guests enjoy one on one time in the pasture with these gentle animals. Bring your camera because they love attention, snuggles, and the occasional kiss.
A Working Homestead
Hulse Hill Farm practices an eclectic mix of modern and historical homesteading. Throughout the growing season, our gardens focus on vegetables, dye plants for natural color, and floral arrangements. We share how these elements support both our household and our fiber work.
Whether you are a fiber enthusiast, a backyard gardener, or simply someone who enjoys learning how small farms operate, this tour offers an authentic glimpse into daily life on a working cashmere farm.
We look forward to welcoming you to the farm
